Sonic Bench_Malmö will be a permanent, sustainably built outdoor sonic bench that plays music to feel.
At the planning stage, Kaffe Matthews is in Malmö meeting digital arts organisation, Foreningen Stapelbadden, designers Apokalys and local sonic designers, to shape, style and organise its secure and sustainable build, installation and future, not only in the Bench’s material but within the Malmo community.
These sketches are ideas being developed at the Bench design workshop now running at IAC, Malmo.
Sonic Bench_Malmö is a FullPull 2010 commission, directed by Mathias Holdenburg. It is expected to launch May 2011.
